1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using LinkShor ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

LinkShor provides URL shortening, link management, QR code generation, bio pages, analytics, and related services. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice when practicable.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain the security of your password and account
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us promptly of any unauthorized access

4. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to use the Service to:

  • Shorten URLs that link to malware, phishing, or harmful content
  • Distribute spam, viruses, or unsolicited communications
  • Violate any applicable local, national, or international law
  • Infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
  • Engage in fraud, impersonation, or deceptive practices
  • Overload or interfere with the Service infrastructure
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems
  • Create links that redirect to illegal content

We reserve the right to disable any link or account that violates these terms without prior notice.

5. API Usage

API access is governed by rate limits as specified in our documentation. You agree to:

  • Keep your API tokens confidential
  • Not share tokens between applications without authorization
  • Respect rate limits and fair usage policies
  • Not reverse-engineer or scrape the Service

6. Subscription & Billing

  • Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on file
  • Prices may change with 30 days notice
  • No refunds for partial billing periods unless required by law
  • Downgrading may result in loss of features or data

7. Data & Content

  • You retain ownership of the URLs and content you shorten
  • You grant us a license to process your data to provide the Service
  • We may collect analytics data about link clicks as described in our Privacy Policy
  • We do not sell your personal data to third parties

8. Intellectual Property

  • The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by LinkShor
  • You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without permission
  • Your use of the Service does not transfer any intellectual property rights to you

9. Service Availability

  • We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service
  • Scheduled maintenance will be communicated in advance when possible
  • We are not liable for downtime caused by factors beyond our reasonable control

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • The Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the last 12 months
  • We are not responsible for the content of shortened URLs or third-party destinations

11. Termination

  • You may cancel your account at any time
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms
  • Upon termination, your data may be deleted after 30 days unless retention is required by law
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation first.
